<p>Sherri Nicholas is a retired Physical Therapy Assistant (P.T.A.) and was in the first group of physical therapy assistants to graduate in 1986 in New Jersey. She worked in The Felician School for Exceptional Children in Lodi, NJ 1986-88, in United Hospital's Early Intervention Program in Newark, NJ 1992-94 and a HealthSouth Rehabilitation in Edison, NJ 1992-2005 as a PTA. She also was a child healthcare worker/assistant house manager for the AIDS Resource Foundation for Children working in St. Clares Home For Children from 1988-1992.Sherri's work in outpatient physical therapy orthopedic rehab lead her to learning myofascial trigger-point techniques. This hands on treatments and that lead her to go back to school for massage therapy. She became a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) at Health Choices Holistic School of Massage. </p><p> </p><p>Sherri has been in private practice in massage therapy for 20 years and has 10 years of onsite massage services for two corporate companies. She has delivered over 10,000 therapy sessions in her career.Sherri has followed the work of Energy Medicine pioneer Donna Eden since 1999 and completed Eden Energy Medicine (EEM) Certification Practitioner Program in 2016. Since completing certification in 2016, Sherri has been a teaching assistant for Lisa Buford, Advanced EEM Practitioner, who teaches The Eden Method Fundamentals in Cranbury, New Jersey. </p><p>Sherri understands and can see how the very basics of energy medicine techniques can be integrated in physical modalities like exercise and physical therapy. Sherri had the opportunity to meet Donna and David several times through the years attending classes in PA-NJ-NY 2007-2017. In October of 2012 she organized an event called  An Evening with Donna Eden, a 3-hour introduction to Eden Energy Medicine that Donna and David taught around the states. Sherri involved all the local EEM practitioners to help fill the event and knew this work would continue on to spread to a broader audience in the future. Earlier in 2012, Sherri's life partner, Ann Sheridan, was in a car accident that forever changed their lives. </p><p>Sherri and Ann both had been practicing EEM through the years previously and believe that having that foundation of techniques accessible to them have enabled them to weather life's challenges. At that time they realized Ann's ability to hold on to information and learn had seemed to have changed drastically. Ann was frustrated and disappointed, but Sherri began to draw the energy concepts so Ann could see the information in pictures, instead of only pages of words, in order to remember better. Sherri then suffered a concussion in 2016 and was led to take graphic recording and graphic facilitation to rewire her brain using the art of doodling. She now easily breaks down information into hand drawn visuals to teach her clients and students.  This training has hone her graphic skills on paper and the iPad. </p><p>She has coined SherringenergyTeez as her brand and she shares energy concepts visually by doodles and infographics. Her mission is to demystify energy into easy to understand drawings. She “shares energy” through quirky cartoons, whimsical cheatsheets and abstract one-line doodles. Sherri has worked with EFT International on the communications and research team and also illustrated the pdf handouts for EFT International 2022 and 2023 Research Symposiums. She is also on the research team for The Eden Method.Sherri’s infographics were used in the book “Making the Case for EFT and Energy Psychology” by Professor Liz Boath. This book is a guide for anyone practicing EFT/Energy Psychology or any other energy modality like Energy Medicine on how to write a case studies. This book has been translated into Dutch, Spanish and French and so are Sherri’s infographics. </p><p>Sherri’s focus has been “Making Energy Visible" in the world and easier to explain, integrate and remember through visuals sprinkled with parody and pop culture and artful designs provoking conversations about Energy Medicine. She loves the energy newbie and the energy skeptic! This intuitive a techie that isn't afraid of technology. Sherri is creative, playful, innovative and comes with an open heart.
