I have been involved in healing work since the early 1980s. My first experience with the Eden Method happened in 1985. As the only mental health counselor at the university in Ashland, Oregon I began doing  the Zip Up to help me disengage from my clients' energies. It and the other exercises have been truly invaluable. I was fortunate to live in the same small town with Donna and David and to take the first class they ever taught together, "Energy Medicine for Mental Health Professionals". As the class wore on I felt better and better and was hooked! I began following Donna as she taught what were then solo 5-day classes throughout the US. When the Certification Program was launched in 2009 I was among the hand full of faculty teaching. Since then I've been teaching in all 4 Levels of the Program in the US and the UK and have created and taught many classes based on Eden Method and psychological themes, both in person and online. I came to the this work as an energy aware psychotherapist. I was already using Therapeutic Touch in my practice and seeing how rapidly transformative working with the energetic imprints of experiences, beliefs and traumas was. Since then I've become certified in and regularly use other methods that powerfully help the brain, mind and body heal. Among these are EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. During the pandemic these methods were adapted to work powerfully in online sessions as well as in person. When working with clients I use a collaborative approach drawing on the resources that best meet each client's goals and needs. On a personal note - I enjoy living in the beautiful mountains of Arkansas, practicing and teaching yoga, hiking, riding horses, spending time with friends and of course practicing the healing arts with humans and 4-leggeds!
